The Faculty of Sciences and Technologies at the University of Nouadhibou is a strategic hub for scientific and technological training serving Mauritania’s economic and industrial development.
The Faculty of Law, Economics and Management is one of the founding faculties of the University of Nouadhibou (newly established and ready to welcome its students from the 2025-2026 academic year). Like its sister faculties, it aims to provide specialized university training closely tied to regional labor market needs, and to train executives able to support the socio-economic development of Nouadhibou and the Sahel region.
The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Nouadhibou has established a flagship program titled "Sociology of Migrations and Population Movements" (2MP), focused on analyzing the lasting contact situations between groups of diverse origins, driven by migration and internal population mobility.
The Higher Institute of Biotechnology (ISB), unique in Mauritania, is part of the University of Nouadhibou. It aims to play a major role in training, research, expertise and the development of applied sciences, particularly in biotechnology and emerging technologies.
